DUI (OUI) Attorney Wayne Foote specializes in defending persons charged with Maine DUI offenses. Attorney Foote has also successfully represented hundreds of people charged with other types of crimes – such as those involving alleged violation of federal gun and drug laws.
Mr. Foote is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Maine, the State of Maine and the Passamaquoddy Tribal Court.
Mr. Foote has been recognized as one of the best DUI defense lawyers in Maine and the entire United States. He is a passionate defender of his clients and the U.S. Constitution.
Attorney Foote served eight years in the U.S. Army as an electronic intelligence specialist and Russian linguist. After being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant, Mr. Foote attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine. In 1983, he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in history and went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from University of Maine School of Law in 1986.
Mr. Foote teaches both in Maine and nationally at seminars for attorneys on the subjects of DUI defense, state and federal criminal defense, and federal sentencing guidelines.
He has lectured at the University of Maine in graduate-level courses on the subjects of scientific evidence and the use of expert witnesses in criminal matters.
