    There are sixteen counties in Maine. Each has a Superior Court in the county seat, except for Aroostook County which has one in the county seat at Houlton and one in Caribou. Superior Courts are Maine’s court of general jurisdiction. It is the only court in which jury trials are available. Wayne R.
